As women of color, it’s a given that you want to have glowing skin, a healthy head of hair and ward off diabetes, belly fat, stiff joints, cancers, heart disease, hypertension and strokes.
That begins the list. In essence, you want to look amazing, feel great and live a long as your can in a healthy state.
This is especially true for my upper forty plus women. And for my over 55 and up, you understand the importance of what it takes to make all of the points a reality. As you mature, you become more patient with yourself. If you haven’t learned that yet, it’s high time you do.
My millennials feel that the world is their oyster. This is partly true. However, the oyster doesn’t just belong to them. When it comes to health and beauty, there are lessons, we can all learn.
Want to look amazing? It is known fact that nutrition plays a crucial role in how good you look. Fasting, detoxing, eating lots of green foods and drinking plenty of water, put you off to a good start.
This nutritional habit helps keep your colon clean and blood pure. Yes, your internal health is just as important as what you use topically on your skin. When you see eruptions such as pimples or breakouts, it’s a signal that there’s sludge impacted with your colon. The cleaner the colon the more beautiful your skin.
Topically, the more natural and organic the ingredients in your products, the better the results you’ll get with your skin.
To feel great and live longer, it’s important to get your sleep, exercise and reduce any and all (if possible) stress in your life. As for sleep, I know some of you might suffer from insomnia as you mature. A a matter of fact, I’ve witnessed it. My husbands aunt would be up all night long, moving about the house. She’d get naps during the day and be right back up when we’d be going to bed during our visits to see her.
However you get you rest, do it. When you’re not well rested, illnesses will creep up on you and have you feeling tired and drained. Living longer is more than saying you’ve been here a certain amount of years. You want those years to be healthy, vibrant years.
Your thought process can make or break how well you feel, how great you look and how long you live. If you think you can you will. If you think you can’t, you won’t. Either way you’re right.
That’s the thing about mindset, you’re in charge. It’s a choice. This is something you can actually control.
Yes, you are in control of how amazing you feel, how great you look and with the Creators guiding hand, how long you live.
Decide how you want to live your life gorgeous black woman and make it happen.
That’s if for this week. As always …
