While the weather might be dreary and cold in most places, that doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be. Bold, bright and luscious colors have stepped into the middle of the Fall season and will continue throughout Winter.

Pant suits in hot pink, red and royal blue lead the way in stylish monochromatic dressing.

Knee boots in hot red leather while ankle boots step into the scene with kitten heels in silver and purple metallic. Remember the rainbow sweaters from the 60’s and 70’s … they’re baaack. Paired with jeans or corduroy pants and it’ll be like stepping back in time. Geometric prints in pleated silk skirts and bold chevron prints in bow necked blouses give a vintage appeal to soft fabric dressing.

What’s an outfit like this if you don’t have a coat to top it off. Plaid or bright and bold with faux fur collars and cuffs. Animal print for those of you who like to walk on the wild side and hounds tooth checks for those who like things a bit more tailored. Jewelry in bold semi-precious stones, gold chains and crystal bracelets to enhance the look of your new found outfit.

Color doesn’t stop with your wardrobe and jewelry choices. Your makeup, nail polish and hair color can give you just the pop of color you seek. Bold eye shadows, lip sticks and nail polish allow you to bring your alter ego to the forefront.

Mixing Things Up

There’s nothing like the contrast of fabric and texture. Shiny lacquer and hairy knits can give shock and aw to some people, while a burnt orange laced bra peeping from under an unbuttoned shirt can cause whispers from others. Denim shirts pared with wool gaberdine trousers, top it off with a jeweled belt and you’ve just become the trendsetter.

It’s not necessary to have all of these looks in your wardrobe, you can achieve the same results by working with bold and bright accessories. There’s no crime in looking sharp and Doing you! Set the tone for who you are and watch your light shine.

That’s it for this week. As always …
