Most of you have a crystal or two or three somewhere in your house. If it’s not sitting on a side table or in front of a flower pot, you’ve got one in your favorite pair of earrings.

When it comes to caring for your beautiful black skin, crystals are part of a trending modality where they’re used for fighting free radicals, boosting circulation, cleansing and drawing out negative energy or simply boosting your mood.

Crystals have been used in wellness modalities along with aromatherapy for years.

Did you know that you can actually use your crystals to charge your skin care.

By placing your products on top of or surrounding them with crystals, your skin care product will pick up the energy of the existing crystal and hold its benefits in your serum, cleanser, butter or lotion. Go figure!

Let’s take a look at a few crystals and see how they’re being incorporated into the world of black skin care:

Malachite is said to have antioxidant properties and can actually quench free radicals, which happens to be one of the biggest culprits of anti-aging. Malachite is used to raise the level of enzyme in your skin, resulting in its newfound ability to recycle Vitamin C and E both of which are key to beautifully glowing skin. The enzyme is known as glutathione reductase, it’s a natural peptide in your skin that can also brighten it.

Tourmaline is known for pepping up your skin. Tourmaline is known to increase the flow of your blood thereby making it work harder, literally energizing your skin. This gives your skin a brighter and more healthier glow.

Clear Quartz is used to draw off negative energy of all kinds. It’s used to cleanse and enhance your organs, stimulate your immune system and bring your body into balance. Not only is clear quartz used in jewelry to ward off negative from your body, it’s also used in elixirs for drinking and facial sprays.

Rose Quartz is great for boosting your mood. It’s also used for facial stone massages. It’s a heart warming stone and very up lifting.

The energy factor in crystals make them very appealing. Your skin has energy just like crystals. Some have a soothing and calming effect. Some help pull toxins from your skin. Some increase the blood flow in your system. These are things that have been proven to be true.

What’s Trending in Skin Care?

Crystals! They’re being used as a natural ingredient. It’s part of the trend that’s focusing on unconventional medicine. Crystals play a huge role in the ancient traditions of wholistic medicine and the back-to-basic approach to caring for your skin.

Don’t think they work? Invest in a few and place them around your home and welcome the calming effect of having them in your space. Study the information that’s available to you on crystals and make a decision for your self.

That’s it for this week!  As always …
