One of the things that you find with your skin is that it’s an incredible self maintaining organ. Every 28 days it renews itself and provides your skin or you with fresh new cells. These cells help your skin look refreshed and radiant.
However, as we mature, the process can slow down and leave your skin dry, giving the appearance of an uneven skin tone, and for some it can leave fine lines and wrinkles.
It’s at this point in particular that masque can actually help you with keeping your skin vibrant and renewed. For the most part masque are underrated as an approach to your skin and the anti-aging process. Yet it is, at the same time, a powerful weapon that can fight against stress and skin damage itself.
There are 3 functions a mask is used for, especially when it comes to helping to de-stress your skin and work in a very short time.
Here are the 3 functions of a good facial masque when caring for black skin:
Not every masque will do these things, but when you find one that works, especially for your skin type, be it normal, dry or oily, it’s a good idea to have a masque treatment or give yourself one at least once a week. It will definitely help to provide you with younger looking skin.
Masque for Normal to Dry Black Skin
Is your beautiful black skin normal, dry or maturing and you want it to experience the benefits of a masque? Try using honey. Honey has many skin benefits, one being that it’s a very effective moisturizer for your skin. It retains moisture making your skin radiant, soft and supple and it fights inflammation and bacteria on skin.
Wild Oates and honey paired together will remove your dead cells from your skin and clear your pores, leaving it soft as a baby’s bottom.
If you’re challenged with oily skin, this masque recipe might work for you.
Masque for Oily Black Skin – Relieves Stress and Tightens Skin Too!
When you look at how a masque can help in actually removing stress, depending on what you’re treating, certain masque can tighten and brighten your skin.
One such masque would be a Cucumber Masque for Oily Skin.
1 tablespoon of cucumber pulp
1 tablespoon of lemon juice,
2 drops of peppermint essential oil,
Mix all of these together and apply to your skin, leave it there for 20 minutes and wash it off with lukewarm water.
What this treatment will do for your skin is cleanse, detoxify, purify it, all while renewing your skin and providing it with vitamin A and vitamin C, as well as enzymes from the lemon and cucumber pulp and peppermint oil. Do a patch test first. Cucumber and lemons are natural astringents.
When you use such products that contain citrus, just know that citrus fruits and oils are considered to be photo sensitive. You might want to do this at night so you don’t rush out into the sun light. It will also give your skin time to rest and rejuvenate throughout the night while you sleep.
That’s it for this week, as always …
