Got a hot date? When you fix yourself up, what takes the longest? The obvious and most common answer would be your hair. It can take you up to thirty minutes to get your hair the way you wants it to be.  Many people spend their time going to salons to make sure their hair is as alluring and natural as possible.

The truth is you don’t need all the expensive shines, wax or flat irons to make your hair seem absolutely flawless. All you need to do is follow a few tips and you’re good to go. Natural hair care can be a tedious job but with a little patience and effort, you will be more than satisfied with what you’ve done for yourself.

Do use a good conditioner. A good conditioner is your best friend. By using a conditioner weekly or even bi-weekly you’re allowing your hair to be as soft as it can possibly be.

Do shampoo from your scalp to the ends of your hair. Your scalp is the foundation of your hair and once it grows you wouldn’t want to have frizzy or smelly hair.

Water helps in the process of natural hair care.  After showering or washing your hair  do not rub your hair with a dry towel like a dog scavenging through the dumpster. Try to squeeze  the water out instead. Your hair is most delicate when it is wet, that it is why when your hair is wet, you should use a wide-tooth comb to detangle or simply wait until your hair is dry before combing.  Use a brush only for dry hair.

When your hair starts to get tangles or knots at the ends, this is the sign where you have to get a trim. If you allow the tangles to stay longer, you are just damaging your hair even more. Nobody has perfect hair;and you all  have different texture of  hair. When you learn to accept this fact then you can begin to take care of your hair according to it’s own unique texture.

The only way for you to find a style that works for you would be to experiment with different looks. There will be times when you would rather be bald than have a freshly cut hairstyle that you despise. But at least you know that that look doesn’t suit you. Natural hair care requires you to accept your hair and find a way to make it look stunning on your head.
