Natural Hair Helpers for Afro Textured Hair

When you turn to hair care companies for help, you’re likely to find expensive and obviously synthetic products to treat it.

Not so in the natural world of hair care products. Here are a few natural ingredients that can act as helpers when caring for your beautiful head of hair.

Ricin Oil– Ever heard of it? Me neither, however, it kept crossing my path in reading material. It’s been used to strengthen eyelashes and in the regeneration of scars. It’s been used in treatments for hair and scalp. It’s especially good for stimulating hair growth and it softens, hydrates and brings ease when combing your hair. Because of it’s thick nature, it’s better when blended with other oils such as coconut, organ or jojoba oils.

Rosemary Essential Oil – It doesn’t promise miracles, yet it’s definitely been praised as an oil to regenerate hair roots and temporarily stop hair loss. By applying it to your scalp and giving your head a gentle massage, it’s earned its way into the natural hair arena as one to take serious for hair growth and scalp stimulation.

Lavender Essential Oil – When you think of lavender you probably think of a cup of tea to calm and relax your nerves and foster a good nights sleep. Don’t limit your relationship with lavender essential oils to somber nights sleep and a relaxing massage. Lavender oil has been known to clean and tighten your scalp, release tension and alleviate irritation. It’s also been known to stop itching and positively affect the regeneration of your hair.

Moroccan Clay – If you’re one to practice the “no-poo method”, moroccan clay will be on your list of must have. While containing only natural silicone, potassium and calcium, it’s very rich in minerals. Moroccan clay has high cleansing and absorbing capabilities and can wash hair just as good as any regular shampoo but without all the chemicals.
