It’s a beautiful thing when you walk into an environment and see a lot of natural heads of hair.  Locs, Afros, braids … you name it, I saw it!

I had the pleasure of being a Guest Lecturer and Vendor at the Central Florida Natural Hair & Beauty Expo.  We were invited to attend and do a workshop on Caring For Your Skin From Within, Naturally.

It gave me an opportunity to meet and greet a lot of you that are already members of our Natural Skin and Hair Care Family.  And for those of you just joining us and meeting us for the first time, it was my pleasure.

Here’s what I learned from you:

  • You like the idea of a sisterhood, so to speak, especially if you live in areas that don’t cater to your natural hair and skin care needs.

  • You like a good hair and skin care product that works.

  • You like a good trade show that offers you plenty of samples to take with you and try them out.

Natural Black Hair Care Trade Shows

A great place to meet old friends and make new ones is at trade shows.  You’ll be surprised at the conversations taking place in these environments.

If you’ve ever attended a show, there are a number of vendors that will talk with you about your hair and skin care needs.  You’ll be able to get everything from consultations to products that can help you with your challenge.

It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet representatives from companies that you’ve read about and test products right on the spot.

It also gives the vendors an opportunity to hear from you first hand what your challenges might be, take a look at your skin and hair and offer tips and techniques as solutions to challenges.

Beauty Begins From Within

No matter what the challenge or product choice, the health and wellness of your beautiful black skin and hair begins from within.

A good black skin care regimen is crucial but so is a great nutritional plan.  Did you know that true beauty begins from within?

The first component of great skin and hair is lots of water.  I can’t tell you how many times I hear from you that you don’t like water.  Water is essential it prevents dehydration.

Dehydration can reek havoc on your organs, your cells and definitely your skin and hair.

Green foods are just as important.  Green foods as in spinach, kale, broccoli, asparagus …   your mom didn’t tell you to eat your vegetables for nothing.  She knew they’d bring life to your body’s essentials.

We love a good trade show, hope to see you at one soon!
