Kale SaladThere was actually a time when I didn’t know what kale was. Okay, there are many things that we don’t know, however as a vegetable lover, I thought I’d pretty much sampled most of them.

I’m the person in the farmers market that will ask people from other regions and countries what a given food is and how to prepare it. You’d be surprised at what you can learn from people if you’d just ask.

Kale got past me until I discovered kale salad. It was different, however it had been marinated and seasoned just right. It’s one of my go-to-salads when I want to have a green meal.

Another way I use kale is in my green drinks. I add kale, spinach, avocado, ginger, blueberries, coconut water and lemon juice to my NutraBullet and this is my go to meal when I want to do a green drink day.

What Makes Kale So Great in Natural Black Skin Care?

For starters, kale is an antioxidant superstar. It’s one of the vegetables with a high ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) rating. ORAC measures your foods’ ability to scavenge free radicals. Free radicals are unstable molecules that can cause damage to your body at the cellular level.

The free radical neutralizing effects of antioxidants found in kale can actually keep your skin looking great. The antioxidants found in kale help prevent the loss of elasticity that’s often triggered by excessive ultraviolet radiation.

Kale contains vitamin C. Your skin contains collagen fibers that form a network that hold your skin together. Vitamin C helps make the collagen that needed for the strength of your skin.

Copper is a mineral found in kale that boost the synthesis of melanin and like vitamin C, copper helps you make collagen. Enzymes that are dependent on copper play a role in how a wound heals.

Vitamin A promotes healthy cell growth, including the cells that make up the inner and outer layers of your skin. When you have low levels of vitamin A, this affects the cellular makeup of your skin, this causes healthy skin to be replaced by dead skin cells and will affect your oil and sweat glands.

How To Enjoy Kale for Inner Wellness and Outer Beauty

You can always steam kale until it’s tender and add minced garlic and a little flavor. Kale will enhance a pot of soup when added just before serving.

My favorite, kale salad is super good. Massage some olive oil into a bunch of kale greens, add chopped raw onions, and shred some carrots let it sit for at least 4 hours and yum, you’ve got a great meal.

Okay …

We’ve given you another superfood to add to the mix, take your time and find just the right mix for yourself
