Dark spots are known as hyperpigmentation, and can be caused by any number of ways including problems with acne, getting older, or being out in the sun too long.  When women have a problem with dark spots, they think that they have to go see a dermatologist to get rid of them, but there are also many natural ingredients that can be beneficial when you want to remove those dark spots naturally.

Lemon Juice:

Lemon juice is quite powerful, and many women use it to help take care of their acne problems. However, for women who have dark spot problems, the lemon juice can be used to bleach out the dark areas of your skin that have excess pigmentation.

Here’s how:  In order to use lemon for dark spot removal, a whole lemon has to be cut in half, then squeezed into a bowl. Using a cotton ball that is dipped into the lemon juice, initially the juice should then be spread all over your face and left on for 10 to 15 minutes.  After time is up, warm water can then be used to wash off the juice. In order for lemon juice to be effective on dark spots, this treatment should be used at least three times a week treating the dark spots only.

Apple Cider Vinegar:

Like lemon juice, apple cider has a lot of acid in it. There are many ways that apple cider can be used to keep your skin fresh and clear, but it also works on dark spots.  The human skin sheds skin cells every month, and the use of the vinegar can make this process more effective when it comes to too much pigmentation.

Here’s how: Using a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar on it, the dark spots should be treated with the vinegar, and then rinsed off with warm water 10 to 15 minutes after it is applied.  Women can use apple cider vinegar on their skin every day without causing any damage.

Red Onion:

Like lemon juice, red onion is a powerful bleaching agents for your skin. Some women simply cut a red onion in half and rub it against their face, but another way to use it would be to put it in the blender and turned into pulp.  The juice of the pulverized red onion can then be dabbed onto your skin and left on until the juice is dried, and this treatment can be used up to three times a day.

Garlic:
Garlic cloves have to be cut and blended in order to get the juice. Some women put garlic into the blender, and turn it into a pulp, then use it as a mask that they apply all over their face. The garlic pulp mask has to be left on the face for 30 minutes to one hour, and then washed off of the face with warm water.
