Today’s New Ingredients
They’re being praised as being masters of communicating with cells, fading dark circles under your eyes, brightening the mask of melasma and even have the ability to repair DNA. Wow!
Let’s Take A Look At These Ingredients Known As The New Rising Stars
The Eyes Have It
Are you challenged with dark circles under your eyes? It’s Eyeseryl to the rescue! Maybe – Maybe Not. We’re all challenged with not getting enough sleep and dark circles under your eyes seem to thrive when you don’t get enough rest. One of the new ingredients found in eye creams is Eyeseryl. It’s been said that it can reduce puffiness under your eyes in as few as 14 days by decongesting water accumulation. It’s also been said to decrease dark circles under your eyes.
Another eye ingredient for you to take note of is Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin. This ingredient is citrus based. As a matter of fact, the Japanese, have regularly steeped citrus peels in hot water baths to warm their bodies and increase circulation.
As an ingredient in skin care, Alpha Glucosyl Hesperidin helps to improve blood circulation to overcome dark circles under your eyes, which are formed as a side effect of stress and cold climates.
Skin Brightener
While physicians still favor hydroquinone as the skin brightener of choice, it’s a known fact that hydroquinone is controversial and has toxicity.
Chromabright on the other hand is a relatively new synthetic molecule that brightens your skin without the toxicity or irritation linked to hydroquinone. Although the word “synthetic” is attached to its description, it works similar to Kojic acid which is a natural ingredient used in skin lightening and brightening products.
Restoring Youth To Maturing Dark Skin
You’ve all read at some point in time about stem cells and how they promise to restore skin function to maturing cell. Progeline, the new kid on the block, is a three amino acid peptide, which helps in the absence of stem cells, to significantly decrease sagging skin and slackness in your skin.
All of your cells mature and as such, they lose their ability to divide. And even though they lose their ability to divide, they still remain active generating collagen and elastin.
Allosteris – is the Retinol enhancer. Retinol is known to restore a younger looking texture to visibly aging skin as it stimulates collagen production. Retinol also causes redness, flakiness and irritation to your skin. Allosteris to the rescue ! … Maybe. Allosteris is a soy-based active complex that improves your skin’s reception to molecules, including retinol and peptides.
The supplier, Barnet Products Corporation, claims that Allosteris helps increase hydration by 33% and reduce wrinkles by 56%. They also claim that this ingredient improves clarity and firmness in your skin but without the irritating side effects of retinol.
Let’s Sum It All Up …

Melanated skin is more sensitive than other skin and the right ingredients for topical care, play an important role in the health and beauty of your skin.
This list is to further your knowledge base of what you’re buying when it comes to skin care ingredients. But for the record, I personally prefer to use natural and/or organic ingredients in my products. I don’t gamble with my skin or yours.
