natural herbal hair growth serumSo you’ve finally decided to go natural, and you want big hair overnight. Problem is, you just don’t know where to start, and your hair is still pretty short. No worries.

You can make your own herbal hair growth serums for natural hair growth using ingredients that are easy to find. I won’t lie to you – it’s not going to happen overnight.

But just like the old proverbs “good things come to those who wait” and “patience is a virtue” – as long as you are patient, in as little as three to five months, you will notice the change.

And of course your hair is going to grow in three to five months – everybody’s hair grows. But the change you’ll notice after using these do-it-yourself herbal hair growth serum recipes is in the health and luster of your new hair growth. It’s simply going to amaze you.

One of the simplest herbal hair growth recipes using essential oils has been used for centuries in many cultures worldwide. Simply add a few drops of rosemary oil (3-4) for every teaspoon of olive oil and massage the mixture into your scalp after your normal shampooing routine.

If you want to prevent gray hair, rinse your hair daily with some rosemary leaves simmered in water (make sure the solution cools sufficiently, but is comfortably warm to touch – like bath water). Rosemary oil stimulates blood circulation in the scalp. It is also vitamin-rich, acts as an anti-bacterial and antioxidant. You can’t lose by using rosemary oil.

If you want to change it up a little, or don’t care for the scent of rosemary, you can substitute rosemary essential oil with the following: lavender oil, emu oil, mustard oil, peppermint oil, hops flower oil, tea tree oil, or calendula oil. Aloe Vera in Your Shampoo

Aloe vera oil is also very effective for stimulating natural hair growth, and there are hundreds of recipes available using aloe vera oil that ranges from the very complex to the very simple. Some work better than others. To save you time, I’m going to give you a truly effective recipe for natural hair growth shampoo.

Aloe vera, as you probably already know, has so many benefits, I can’t list them all here. This super-plant is packed with enzymes that promote hair growth, unclogs pores, cleans the scalp, and is pretty much just plain magic for the hair. You can find aloe vera gel at your local health food store.

Alternatively, you can scrape out the slimy, clear gel-like substance from the middle of the leaf (4-6 inches).
Mix equal parts of aloe vera gel, wheat germ, and coconut milk and use as a natural shampoo. You can also find wheat germ and coconut milk at your local health food store. If you have short hair, ¼ cup is sufficient. If you have very thick or shoulder length hair, you may need a bit more. As long as you mix equal parts of each ingredient, you’ll be fine. Make sure you rub it in from root to tips. Leave it on for at least 5 to 10 minutes for best results.

You’ll learn as you use a given product what works and what doesn’t. Be patient as you work through this process, you’ll be happy you did.  That’s it for this week.  As always …
