- Drink plenty of water. This might seem completely obvious but do you do it? What’s plenty? The jury is still out on that one, but the last trainer I talked with defined plenty as half your body weight in ounces. Here’s where common sense kicks in, at least stick with the eight glass a day schedule. Water works below the surface hydrating from within. Did you know that when your body is dehydrated that it will cause your skin to look dull, ashy and gray? By the way, this does not include ice tea or lemonade.
- Don’t forget your sunscreen. Just because we’ve got the great god melanin protecting us, doesn’t mean we’re not affected by the rays of the sun.
- Exfoliate at least once a week. Did you know that exfoliating can help remove dark spots and even out your skin tone?
Once you begin to follow these easy tips in caring for your beautiful black skin, you’ll begin to have very healthy, smooth, beautiful looking skin.
