You’ve spent the winter months in boots and now you want to put those same feet in 4” stiletto sandals.  Are your feet ready for stiletto sandals?

Great question, now what’s your answer?  There’s nothing more comical than watching women “try” and walk in stilettos.  Ever notice their posture.  They’re leaning forward and tipping on their toes trying to balance themselves.

Could it be that no woman or man is suppose to move about in a shoe that gives them no support and causes trauma to their back and other body organs.

Oops, about to get on my soapbox!  But if you insist on wearing stilettos or any sandal for that matter, how well have you taken care of your feet.

Here’s a foot regimen that will give your feet the look and feel of a set of well-pampered paws.

  • Have a pedicure every 10 days.  Your pedicure doesn’t have to be one that removes cuticles and skin around your nail bed.  It can be as simple as a good foot soak and change of polish.  What this does is reminds you to sit down and take a load off your feet and enjoy the touch of someone providing you with a great foot rub.

  • Schedule a Reflexology treatment. If you want your foot rub to go deeper schedule a foot reflexology treatment once a month.  Foot reflexology not only gives you an ahhh moment, it allows the therapist to work with your internal organs as well.  Remember, every point on your feet is connected to the organs in your body.

  • Create a Home care regimen.  Keep a pumice stone in your shower/tub area.  You all know that dead skin cells build up on your heals but it also builds up in between your toes and on top of your feet.  Using your pumice stone on the entire foot will help you keep the build up under control.   Often times when your feet hurt, it’s the result of dead skin cells that have been accumulating over years, so much so until your feet can look as though they’ve got an extra sole.

  • Keep your feet clean and moisturized. Once you’ve taken the time to get your feet to the point where they can be used in a foot model photo, don’t skimp on the care and attention they deserve.

  • Hair removal. Yes, there are some of you that have hair on your toes.  You can have it waxed off just as you have your brows waxed.

These tips are not just for the summer sandal season.  If you will take the same care for your feet when the weather is cold, you won’t have to send as much time and energy when springtime rolls around and your feet need some tender loving care.

Follow these tips and your feet will be soft and beautiful all year long.
