I often talk about being under stress and how it affects your skin.  Well I woke up to the Police standing in my foyer with guns drawn on Wednesday morning.  When my son and daughter come and go they often forget to take the alarm off and it sends this tone through out the house before the actual alarm goes off.

I heard this tone and I’m half asleep and wondering why won’t they cut the darn alarm off.  My son told me the night before that he would be coming in early that morning. I get up shut it down and then I hear “Police, Hello, Police”.  I crack the bedroom door and there stand two police officers with guns drawn.  (Lucky for me that I didn’t get my head blown off)   Mind you, I’m still half asleep trying to figure out why these people are in my house. Better them than the person they were looking for.

After hubby and I get dressed and come out of the bedroom, the officers proceed to tell us that a neighbor placed a call, saying that they saw a person going around checking windows and doors and removing screens from the windows.  As fate would have it one of my screens had blown off the window and I refused to replace it because I saw two snakes in the bush in front of that window.  I’m waiting on the landscaper : >) Then when they checked our front door, it’s unlocked.

As it turns out my son had been bringing packages in, was distracted and forgot to lock the door.  When the officers saw the screen off the window,  as they checked the front door, it was open … it was then time for them to move into enter with guns drawn mode.

They were looking for an intruder and found the home owners, Us.

I was scared sh..less.  I had to get on my elliptical and work through the stress level that I’d been taken to.  I know I mentioned skin.  I know that I became about three shades lighter for a minute.    What a rush!!  As the morning settled I saw a big red zit come up on my neck.

This just goes to show you that stress can come into your life in ways that you least expect it and some how your skin will definitely react to it.  Did they catch the person they were looking for?   Not in our subdivision,  but a description matching this same person was given in another subdivision where the front door had been kicked in.

I’m Grateful that I can share this experience with you!

Have a great day!!
