Is your hair an important part of your appearance?  I thought so, that means you’ll need to take the time to find black hair care products that will aid in keeping your hair shiney and clean.

Your hair may lose its shine and become dull-due to aging, daily activities or stress.  For some of you, Your hair care regimen may include having your hair cut often and styled every day, but this isn’t the proper way to give your hair what it needs.

Your hair should be washed, conditioned and oiled on a regular basis but not necessarily daily.  So here are a few things you should look for in African American Hair Care.

Herbal hair oil treatments are helpful in keeping your hair healthy and getting rid of itchy scalp issues.  Safflower, jojoba and apricot oils are very helpful for healthy hair, since they contain properties that will help your hair grow more quickly.

Apricot and jojoba oils work as excellent conditioners for breaking or dry hair.  They nourish all the way to the roots and penetrate the scalp to prevent dryness.  They will strengthen the strands of your hair for a richer and healthier pattern of hair growth.

Safflower is a plant found natively in countries including India and Iran and in areas including the Far East and North America.  The oils are extracted from seeds.  They have been used for centuries to treat fatty acid deficiencies and baldness.

Another great way to keep your locks looking good is to apply a moisturizing hair butter on a regular basis.  Simply massage some into your scalp after shampooing and conditioning with a mild cleansing shampoo like tea tree and peppermint.

Some hair butters require you to “heat up” your hair with a hair dryer to seal in the moisture.  If you don’t have the time or inclination to spend hours taming your hair, try some hair butters that melt in your hand as you rub it in your hair.

Some ingredients to look for in African American hair butters for maximum moisturizing effectiveness are:  shea butter, cocoa butter, mango and papaya extracts.

These exotic ingredients all contribute to infusing your hair with moisture while maintaining shine and strength with essential vitamins and minerals.

It’s important to find products that are made with your hair, as an African American, in mind.
