Black don’t crack. Guess again! It’s truth and myth about your black not cracking. I’ve heard from a lot of you lately about your skin being dry, dull and ashy.
Here’s the thing about your beautiful black skin, if you don’t take care of it, you’ll see all kind of things happening to it. Chapped, dull, dry and ashy are just a few of them.
A Good Skin Care Regimen
Whether you know it or not, you need a skin care regimen. Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize and sometimes it needs a little nurturing.
Cleansers so just that, they keep your skin clean. A good cream based cleanser will do the trick. No harsh detergents that will strip your skin of it’s natural oils. Something gentle enough to remove dirt and debris without leaving a film.
Toners, well they help bring your skin back to an alkaline state. This balances out your pH level.
Moisturizers, well here’s where the real work begins. Moisturizers hydrate your skin as well as help keep it smooth and soft.
Your skin naturally has a certain amount of water. This water is always evaporating into the atmosphere. Mother Nature has provided a way for your skin to hold a sufficient amount of water in the outer layers to keep it smooth, supple and hydrated. If this process is interrupted, you’ll see a different outcome in the appearance of your skin. You got it … dull, gray, ashy looking skin.
Moisturizers also help preserve the natural elasticity in your skin and this helps in slowing the aging process.
Serums bring in the element of nurturing. They’re lightweight and they penetrate deeper to deliver the active ingredients into your skin. Typically your skin will feel firmer, smoother and increase your moisture levels.
Following these simple steps on a daily bases will allow you to get in the habit of caring for your skin. You’ve had phone conversations longer than it takes to cleanse your face.
I’ve provided content as it appears to your face, however your entire body should have the same scare. This is just a quick overview. That’s it for this week. .. As always
