You’ve been told that Black Don’t Crack … Yes it will, especially if you don’t moisturize. When you don’t moisturize, you begin to see wrinkles. That’s a sign of your Black Cracking. Moisturizers act as hydration for your skin.
Depending on your skin type and the cleanser you use, the ingredients can be very drying to your skin. Not using a moisturizer can result in dull, flaky, gray looking skin especially during colder temps. Moisturizers can often prevent itching. Imagine your skin feeling tight all day long and itching. A moisturizer can help with that.
Moisturizers can often act as a primer for make up and help your application go on much smoother. A moisturizer should always be applied to moist skin. So after using a cleanser and toner, your next step would be to apply your moisturizer.
Know that this is an important step in your regimen. Exfoliation is the step that removes dead skin cell build-up that might have been there for years. Those dead skin cells, can often the reason your experience, gray, dull, uneven skin tones.
