Beauty companies have invested a significant amount of money into developing products and packaging.

Yet all of their efforts to develop a glamorous and sexy product can be destroyed by one simple action.

What is that action?  You … putting your into your purse.

Your purse is your most important accessory, it holds all of your vital and precious things.  It’s also a disorganized pit of things that have become a part of its environment.

A Peek Inside Your Beauty Bag

Ninety five percent of you between 18-64 carry a purse every day and most of you have an average of two to three handbags.  Did you know that on average you have 67 objects in your purse?

Here’s a breakdown of what is contained in most purses:

Lip Care – Lip sticks, lip balms or lip gloss all lead the way in terms of beauty products in your purse.  Typically, even the smallest bags have at least one product for your lips.

Hair Care – Brushes and/or combs, hair clip or scrunchie  were in one in five purses.

Lotion and skin care – one in three purses contain a moisturizing lotion for your hands.  But very few contained a moisturizer for your face.

Fragrance – One in five of your carry a fragrance in your purse.  Light in potency like a body spray mist.

Most women are known to buy two of the same products, one for your home and one for your purse.

Packaging and Containers for Your Beauty Products

When my husband first saw me I was digging in my purse at the airport looking for my student ID for the Airline.

I remember so clearly, I had pens, lipstick, notebooks and a small sewing kit.  This is when you could carry full size beauty products in your handbag.

The new ruling for container sizes on airlines has made travel much more efficient and it has forced us to become some what more organized.

How durable is your cosmetic bag?  Will it hold your beauty products in one place?  I still have moments where my lipstick is smeared inside my cosmetic bag.  Do you use your purse as a mobile make up counter?

Labels can be dirty and scratched off and your containers can be leaking around the seals damaging both your product and the contents of your bag.

Think about it, in your purse are items that you actually put on, in or around your mouth.  Yet, you never think about the actual condition of the inside of your bag.

Life has gotten much easier

A host of small-compartmentalized bags are now available for you to store your black beauty products, mints, combs, scrunchies and brushes.

They’re worth the investment.
