Beautiful Black skin all around You?  Sure thing!  It’s that time of the year when taking care of your skin is a must.  You’re exposing more of it than usual, because it’s hot and you’re trying to find a way to keep it cool.

In doing so, it means that you’ll have to take extra precautions when caring for your beautiful black skin, because the sun will dry it out if you don’t.

Beautiful Black Skin: Inside and Outside

This will mean working from within as well from the outside.  Good nutrition and lots of water.  Lots of water means what ever is good for Your body.  Some of you might feel great with drinking a gallon and a half a day, while others might only be able to handle a gallon or less.  The key is to find a balance.  Taking in too much water can strip you of vital minerals needed for you and your organs to function properly.

Green foods provide a very nourishing effect for your skin from within.  A great skin meal might include, kale, spinach, broccoli, cucumbers and romaine lettuce.  Add some red onions, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes and portabella mushrooms.  That’s right, it’s a salad. Top it off with a blend of tomatoes, basil and sea salt and you’ve got a great salad dressing.

Externally, warm water baths can actually be soothing and relaxing to your skin on a hot day.  If you feel the need to cool your face off during the day, a spray bottle with spring water can provide a refreshing mist for it.

If you find that you want to wear any type of make up, keep it light.  A sheer bronzer perhaps or a touch of mascara will be all that you need.  After all, your goal is to have great looking skin and wearing too much make up can reek havoc on your face.

Beautiful Black Skin: The golden rules for great skin in hot weather:

  • Keep your skin clean with mild cleansers
  • Cleanse your face morning and night and mist in between
  • Exfoliate twice a week-your face and your body
  • A great pedicure at least once a month- but no razors on your feet, they have a tendency to make the skin on the bottom of your feet hard
  • A great hat to protect your face.  Sheer fabrics to protect your skin and keep you cool.
  • Don’t forget your sunscreen.
  • Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize your skin
  • Eat lots of green foods, raw and steamed.
  • Drink your water to stay hydrated from within.

Beautiful Black Skin all around you?  Absolutely!
