Is not caring for your skin interfering with your social life?  A good black skin care regimen is a great way to keep your skin looking soft, radiant and all out gorgeous.

The world we live in has become, Oh so stressful, and the slightest little things can wreak havoc on your skin.

Everything from a bad day at the job – which causes some of you to eat drink and be merry, at lunch time- to getting not so good news from a family member.

Stress levels are at an all time high and your skin is the first place stress is going to show up.

  • Typically it begins with breakouts.  Acne gets the blame but it could be from a food allergy.  While acne is closely associated with the foods that you eat, those very foods can be causing more than an acne flair up.
  • Stress has a tendency to have you overeating.  Your fine brown frame is now growing into sizes that you’d rather not see.  Not only does the extra weight bring trauma to your heart and other organs, your skin is now being stretched into other directions.
  • Your skin is not the only recipient of stress levels on the rise, your hair begins to shed and fall out as well.

I know, where’s the good news in this picture.  You’re invited out but stress and lack of care to your skin, has you even more stressed.  What do you do?

How to Handle Stress So That It Doesn’t Handle Your Skin

  • Don’t be so anxious to watch every news report that comes on your television.
  • Know that your job is full of A.. holes and opinion makers. So let them say whatever  as long as they maintain respect and don’t touch you.
  • Don’t run to comfort food, drugs or alcohol in order to escape.   Instead, take a walk at lunchtime or clime the stairs if you really need to vent.
  • The better the food you eat the better your skin is going to look and feel.  The better your nutrition plan, the healthier the glow of your skin.  Nutrition is crucial to having great looking skin and minimizing stress.  Did you know that foods can trigger mood swings?

Finally …

A good massage or a soak in the tub will bring tranquility to the end of any day.  Your skin will thank you for it.
