Have you ever thought about how easy it might be to take a pill and everything would just be alright? Well, for the most part we do that with vitamins and herbs. Another question might be “can a beauty supplement help?” It can, because your skin, hair and nails are known to be some of the last places to receive nutrition in the body and they’re known as some of the first places to lose out when you have a nutrient deficiency.
So adding a supplement to what you do on a daily basis in conjunction with the right food would definitely be beneficial.
However, on the greater side of that, when you are looking at foods to actually nourish your body, skin, hair and nails, you want to take a look at what your goals are for beauty. Small fish (sardines), oats, bananas and greens are foods that will help feed your system and promote healthy hair. Raspberry, hemp seed, winter squash and walnuts are known to help strengthen your nails.
For glowing skin …
Pumpkin, greens (again), yams, pomegranate and acorn squash are a few to take a look at. It’s always a good idea to go deeper into studying nutrition to see what these foods and others can do for you in caring for the beauty of your skin and hair.
Don’t forget your herbs!
Your herbs will also help with the above mentioned. Herbs can be grown in your garden or you can start small and create pot gardens if this is all new to you. You use herbs to enhance the flavor of your foods, so you can actually get benefits that are two fold when it comes to dealing with your skin from within.
Okay … That’s it for this week, you now have a list of foods to consider when grocery shopping. The only thing missing are some recipes. I’m sure you’ve got that covered. Look for recipes for juicing – smoothies, green drinks – as well as veggie bowls and salads.
As always …
