We’ve just finished doing one of the trade shows we often do, The Bronner Brothers Hair Show.

When you think of The Bronner Show, the first thing that comes to mind is weaves, cuts, perms, lots of creativity, hair that’s every color, genre of the spectrum and it’s lots of fun.

Black Hair Care and Family Dynamics

There’s lots of energy and activity and when you look at the environment, you’re seeing the dynamics of what a family can do.

This show was started 65 years ago by Mr. Bronner and it was started at a time when African Americans were not (and still aren’t to a certain extent) included in the industry of beauty, whether it be skin or hair.

This particular show allows you to come into certain energy and be in the midst of your market.  It was an event that allowed us to reconnect with a lot of you and talk to some of you for the first time about your skin care challenges.

Bronner Bros Hair Show, Not Just For Hair

What we always do, as Nyraju Skin Care, is go into trade shows, especially those that are specifically for people of color. Even when it says a hair show, we go in from the holistic standpoint of hair and skin because your hair is truly an extension of your skin.

This particular show was enlightening because as we grow, as a company, it enables us to speak to you and learn more of what you want and how to present it to you.

At the show this year, our class was Caring For The Skin You’re In, and we presented a workshop that dealt with the whole body.

When you’re dealing with the whole body, you’re dealing with the components of nutrition internally and externally as to how you use your skin as a canopy of how to apply certain skin care products.

Eating Your Way To Beautiful Skin and Hair

What I found was that a lot of you are becoming so much more aware of the fact that how you eat, what you eat and when you eat, all play a pivotal role in what your skin, hair and nails look like.

We understand that when we consume foods that have no nutritional value (potato chips, refined sugar, white rice, white bread), those particular foods are not what are going to nourish your body and provide you with the healthiest of skin.

In knowing that, you’re taking more of a responsibility as a client, not only in your health, but the health of your skin and hair.

I think that’s a great accomplishment because typically people are of the mindset of “what product can I buy to put externally on my skin? Never mind what caused it.”

I’m finding that a lot more of you are so much more serious as to what you eat and feed yourself internally and understanding that that is the beginning of skin beautification externally.

Water, the main component that hydrates and keeps everything flowing in the body is the crucial factor in beautiful skin and a healthy body.

Without water, you will see signs of dull, grey, ashy skin because what you’re witnessing is the cells and organs not being hydrated properly. Externally, your skin is reflecting what’s going on internally.

That happens across the board, whether it’s the food you eat or the lack of water that you drink. When you drink water, it’s like giving yourself nourishment from your inner core.

If you take a look at the make up of the body, you are so much water that you must keep that level high in order for your cells, nerves, organs and bones to function properly.

That same rule applies externally because water is just important in cleansing the skin externally.

If you continue to apply makeup everyday, never taking it off, what would your skin then look like from the outside?

You’ll start seeing pimples, blackheads, breakouts and dirt, all because you have not used the simple component of water for external cleansing.

So when you see these things happening on the outside of the body from lack of water, it will better help you to understand how that same thing is taking place internally.

Finally …

So with that being said, it was a wonderful show, a great experience, I enjoyed meeting new faces and reconnecting with old ones.

From your standpoint as the consumer, not just the entrepreneur, it’s also a good idea for you to visit as many trade shows that are open to the general public as possible because you get an awareness of what’s being offered.

Make sure you check your ingredients, see who’s showing and support your entrepreneurs who are there taking care of you.
