Do you have beautiful black skin from head to toe? Is your skin supple to the touch? Do your feet possess a smoothness that will rival a baby’s bottom or will your heels cut you like a razor? Only you know this and even if everything is in correct order with your skin, you can always use a maintenance program.
And how do you do that? It’s time to exfoliate!! Exfoliation is a great way to give your skin a radiant glow and have you feeling good all over. What black skin care product is best for exfoliating your skin? One that’s not harsh and could cause even greater challenges if you use it.
I always suggest an exfoliant for your body that contains jojoba wax beads. Not only are they gentle when used on your skin, they melt as you massage your skin to remove the dead skin cells that cause a lot of the dull gray ashy look that your skin acquires when this ash keeps building up on top of itself.
Jojoba wax beads can be used in products for your face as well as your body. In a cream base, jojoba wax beads make a great facial scrub and couple them with some shea butter, sea salt and turbinado sugar and you’ve got yourself a wonderful body butter scrub.
What happens that causes this build up of dead skin cells? Every 28 days your skin renews and rejuvenates itself but if you don’t remove the old skin, your new skin will not be seen because the dry flakes will smother the new cells and keep them from radiating their beauty on your skin to the world.
An exfoliating treatment for face and body is great to have at least twice a week. You body will experience a different type of treatment and pressure than your face but both can enjoy the properties and benefits of jojoba wax beads.
When choosing black skin care products you must be conscious of the high melanin content in your skin and treat it with utmost care. You don’t want harsh chemicals or abrasives such as hydroquinone or nut scrubs. As much as melanin is your friend when it comes to its ability to protect you from the sun, it can become your worst nightmare. Scratch it, scrape it or cut it and you run the risk of experiencing a keloid, a dark spot or bruise that you might not be able to remove.
In light of all this, should you still exfoliate your skin? You bet your supple black skin you should!
