Shea, Coco and Mango Butter
Shea, Coco and Mango Butter

It’s well known that body butters feel and smell wonderful on your skin, but they also have many other benefits.

From helping with muscle aches to making lips more kissable, these essentials are natural remedies that are easy to love and hard to resist.

Here are nine reasons to use Shea, cocoa, and mango butter:

1. They are all natural.

Not only are unnatural body care products harmful to our skin and body, they are also harmful to the environment. Shea, cocoa, and mango all come from naturally derived sources.

Shea butter is extracted from the seed of the Shea tree in Africa, while mango butter comes from the kernel of a Mango tree. The very popular cocoa butter comes from the cacao bean that is found inside of the cocoa pod of its tree.

Unlike these extracts that are gentle on your skin, the ingredients found in unnatural products are absorbed by your skin and often leads to skin irritation, breakouts, and other health issues. By using these butters that are not man-made, they assist our skin in  functioning properly and protect it against harmful substances.

2. They help with the appearance of stretch marks.

Stretch marks are easy to get and hard to get rid of. They can come from losing weight, gaining weight, pregnancy, and medication, among various other reasons. The stretching of the skin that causes these marks often cannot be avoided.

Cocoa butter is a widely accepted form of treatment and prevention for stretch marks, but Shea and mango also can deeply penetrate and soften your skin to help reduce the appearance of these unsightly marks.

3. They protects skin from the weather.

No matter where you go, you can’t avoid the weather and weather is something that can be very damaging to our skin. While your skin is strong, it is also fragile when it comes to outside conditions. Cold weather, for example, easily attacks your skin by drying it out, causing the destruction of natural elements that hydrate your skin, and leaving behind an ashy appearance.

The sun is another outside element that can deeply damage your skin, sometime irreversibly. The moisturizing qualities of these butters prevent dryness from happening and they also act as protectant against harsh sun rays. Mango is especially known for its effective protection against UV radiation.

4. They work well for people with skin allergies.

Skin allergies create rashes, itching, and other types of irritating problems. Being as though an allergy is something that can be hard to diagnose, using a natural product can help.

There are many formulas that someone with skin allergies have to avoid, but natural butters are less likely to cause an allergic reaction since they are free of many of the chemicals and additives that overwhelm sensitive skin.

5. They heal dry skin.

Dry skin takes no prisoners and it affects people of all ages and lifestyles. Furthermore, it can get worse, becoming uncomfortable and very severe.

Appearing anywhere on your body, dry skin is unattractive, likely to be itchy, and can cause your skin to peel or crack. Your feet are one part of the body that are especially susceptible to dry and cracked skin.

The moisturizing qualities of cocoa, mango, and Shea butters continue to amaze people that make use of them because they go so deeply into the skin, working both underneath and on the surface.

Proper moisturizing done with these butters boost your skin’s natural sebaceous moisture and work with your glands to fight and repair dry skin.

6. They have anti-aging qualities.

Aging is unpreventable, but premature aging is not. Premature aging can be caused by a lack of proper nutrients, bad sleeping habits, spending too much time out in the sun and the list goes on.

Signs of premature aging include wrinkles and dull skin, but Shea and cocoa butter contain the vitamins A and E that fight their triggers. Combining that with the oleic acid of mango butter makes these three butters exceptional anti-aging agents.

7. They have healing properties.

Wounds heal better with the help of these natural products. Insect bites are also easier to treat with them. Many times, after being bitten by an insect or being wounded, our skin is left with dark marks as evidence. Not only do Shea, cocoa, and mango boost the healing process, they also help to get rid of the scarring that will follow after a wound heals.

8. They help to lighten discoloration.

Discoloration is very common when it comes to African American skin. It appears on many areas of the body, and can happen due to hormones, injuries, and bug bites. Of course, these aren’t the only things that cause discoloration. Still, these changes in pigmentation can be remedied through the use of natural skin care.

Body butters prevent many types of scars and discoloration, but their healing qualities will make any current discolored areas fade and become less visible.

9. They are rejuvenating.

No matter what condition your skin is in, it doesn’t hurt to revive it. Throughout the years, your skin will actually lose some of the elasticity and the healthy glow that gives us a youthful and vibrant look.

Many people often find themselves making an appointment with a doctor in order to rejuvenate their skin and clear it from acne spotting, blotches, and a very uneven complexion that takes away from the skin looking its best. With continued use of these  butters for body care, your skin can naturally renew itself, stay revitalized, and look beautiful.

That’s it for this week, as always …
