An awesome new year is just around the corner. Are you ready for it? Let’s face it, a lot of you have been through hell in a gasoline jacket this past year.

And for those of you that don’t think so, you’ve probably done a pretty good job of moving through this year with blinders on. How do I know? Your calls and emails have described how your skin and hair have weathered the storm in a year of Covid.

Recapping Your Skin and Body Care Challenges During Covid, Makes You Want to Move Forward into An Awesome New Year

Mask Acne tops the list of skin care challenges during this covid plagued year. For some of you, it was the first time you experienced acne as an adult.

You learned that wearing cloth mask meant changing them everyday. At times that didn’t work either. Keeping your skin clean beneath the mask was one thing. However, that wasn’t really the problem for a lot of you.

The culprit was your detergent and the fabric combinations. Even the disposable mask was a problem. Fabric fibers rubbing against your skin during the day brings irritations to your skin.

The mask created moisture and often brought dirt and debris to your skin. Wearing glasses also became a challenge with mask. The steam from your breath caused your glasses to fog up. That was the initial thought. Did you know that the steam from your breath not only caused your glasses to fog, it caused bacteria to build up on the bridge of your nose under your glasses.

Yes, your mask has probably become a pain in the butt, yet one thing is for certain, You don’t want to leave home without it.

Continue your regimen. Don’t have one? It’s simple, cleanse, tone, exfoliate and moisturize.

Wait, there’s more …

Foot Care was pretty much overlooked during the warmer months. A lot of you changed how you dressed during the summer months because of Covid.

The thought of possible exposure kept you in closed in shoes. Pedicures were out, so your foot-care regimen went into winter mode. Bare feet in hot sneakers is no joke. You run the risk of athlete foot along with smelly feet.

Set a foot care regimen in place. Cleanse and exfoliate. Moisturize with a nice body butter or foot salve.

Are you ready to move forward into the new year? Keep your thoughts positive as you venture into a new journey. Think about it! You’ve got ten months behind you. Things might get tricky as we move through the winter season. No worries though. Right!?

That’s it for this week. As always,

Dedicated to Your Beauty,
