Exercise is a necessity as you work your way through this surging pandemic. As of this writing it’s Autumn Season 2020 and the pandemic is on the rise … again. More than ever, exercise will have to come into play for the sake of your health.
Autumn brings cooler temps. And for some of you it’s a much better time to get out for a brisk walk. It’s also a good time to open your windows and air out your living space. As the winter months approach, and yes Winter’s Coming, your exercise routines will vary, depending on where you live.
Your exercise routine will also benefit the health and beauty of your skin and hair. Don’t take this statement lightly. When you exercise throughout the colder months, you’re nourishing and nurturing your body. When you spring forth in the Spring Season, your skin and hair will be a tribute to the work you did with your exercise routine.
One thing’s for sure, you need to keep your body moving. Finding a way to do that during the coming colder months, will be an asset to your health.
Walking – Whether it’s brisk or a comfortable stroll, walking is easy on your body. You can set your own pace. Walking works every part of you. A lot of your systems are in motion. By systems, I’m referring to your circulatory, nervous, skeletal, respiratory and muscular systems.
Because of the pandemic, your lymphatic system will play a major roll. It has always played a major roll, however, the pandemic brings attention to it. Your lymphatic system is responsible for absorbing fat from your digestive system. This helps in maintaining fluid balance and supports the cells of your immune system.
It is also a separate circulatory system that needs stimulation just as your cardiovascular system which is part of your main circulatory system. Walking is good for this. You’re moving your arms which helps move fluids through your lymphatic system. The health of your lymphatic system, increases the health of your immune system. So Walk!
YouTube Videos – YouTube video’s are a great resource for exercising your way through the surging pandemic. Especially for those of you in colder climates during the coming months. This will take you some time, yet it’s necessary for you to try this. Take a day and visit YouTube. Search out exercise videos that you might have an interest in. Start with low impact ones, walking or stretching. Do you know how many videos there are just on walking!?
The objective is to find a couple of videos that you like and start with those. Find those that are 15 to 20 minutes long. You can work a lot of body parts in 20 minutes. Don’t overwhelm your body. Start slow and gradually work your way up the timeline.
The only competition you have is yourself. You have nothing to prove to anyone else. You just want to stay healthy and boost your immune system in the process.
Exercise is good for mental clarity as well as moving toxins out of your body. There’s nothing like a good sweat. Don’t make excuses Not to exercise. Instead, find healthful reasons To exercise.
That’s it for this week. As always …
