How To Come Out of A Global Pandemic With Your Sanity Intact A global pandemic, the corona virus,  has rocked our world. I hope this blog post finds you in good health and great spirit.

We’re in the midst of a Global Pandemic, the Corona virus. It can be scary as hell at times. Especially if you’re glued to the TV, computer or smartphone.

In order to maintain your sanity, take breaks from them. If anything major happens, someone will call to find out if you know. Then you can turn it back on.

Follow CDC guidelines. You can go to https://www.cdc.gov for updates and a complete list of what to do.  I’m sure this URL is bookmarked in your favorites by now.

Here are a few basics:

  • Wash your hands … often,
  • Wipe down your counters, keyboards, door knobs, car door handles, steering wheel and other surfaces.
  • Leave you shoes at the door.
  • As you food shop, wipe down cans, boxes and bottles that you bring into your home. While it might not be Coronavirus, there could be cold/flu germs … you never know.

Calling On My Alternative Practitioners …

To my naturopath, aromatherapist, herbalist and those interested in these areas, it’s time to step up to the plate. Get creative and implement what you know.

Aromatherapist, if you’ve got a calming blend, sell it or better yet, share it. People will remember your kindness. Someone else will pay it forward to you.

Naturopath Dr’s, share your wellness knowledge.

Herbalist start teaching us about herbs to help strengthen our body.

There was a time when our communities had to be self sufficient. This could very well be one of those times. Each one teach one. This will help us all make it through this challenge.

The shelves are emptying. They’re being replenished but not as fast as if it were a regular day. Be patient with the store employee’s, they’re tired too. They’re coming in contact with thousands of people a day putting their health at stake.

Your creativity and know how will help us to help each other.

Don’t forget to exercise … a stroll around the block while you can still go outside, counting steps in your home, dancing … anything to keep your blood flowing and you active. Move Your Body!

Save your bleach for sanitation and purification. Your white clothes will be alright.

We’ve experienced a lot …

As melanated people on this planet, we’ve experienced a lot. We’ll get through this as well.

Don’t stop planning. Got an idea for a business? It’s a good time to sit down and write out all the details. Already have a business? How can you shift and get closer to your market online.

As you plan, start getting rid of things you haven’t used in years. They’re cluttering your space. Some how, this clutters your mind. Letting go is good. It gives you one less thing to concern yourself with.

Give those around you a hug … daily. Live alone? Stand in the mirror and hug yourself.

This may take some months to work through. Be patient with yourself as you learn to live in a new time and space. It’s being said that living through the Corona Virus scare is the “New Normal.”

I don’t know if it’s new or normal for a lot of people. It could simply be … learning to roll with the punches.

Wherever you find yourself, seek refuge in a higher power. If that’s not your way, meditate, chant … you’ll be surprised at how calming it can be.

It’s important to emerge from this situation with your sanity intact.   Stay safe and healthy as we work through this challenge.

Peace and Blessings
